Planning...
John wants to see polar bears. So, we've spent much time planning a six week trip which will involve multiple flights, train trips, car hire etc. We will fly to LA on 20 October, then after overnighting there, will fly LA/Denver/Winnipeg, Canada. We'll stay here for two nights then take the train for two days and two nights to Churchill on Hudson Bay. Still lots of planning to do. Highlights, for John, apart from polar bears (and train trips) will be a stay at Essex, Montana - in Glacier National Park, where we will stay in an old train engine, now upmarket accommodation, complete with fireplace, and a view (of course) of snow, the mountains, and the railway tracks. I want to finally ride on a snow mobile and also see bison and hopefully bears. You'd think people who lived in Alaska over winter would have had enough snow etc, but, there is no such thing as too much winter!!!!
